I was waiting eagerly for Walid bek’s press conference that made it to the breaking news last night, making me expect something extremely important he had to say about the serious state of the country, about the government crisis, a solution out of the impasse.
Buuuuuuut, Mr. Jumblatt is not in the mood today. A mysterious reason kept him away from the eager media.
“Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt cancelled his press conference, which was supposed to be held on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by the PSP. The statement, however, did not state the reasons behind the cancellation. Media reports [Al Manar actually] said on Monday that Jumblatt was expected to tackle on Tuesday the latest Lebanese and regional developments amid mounting tension over the Special Tribunal for Lebanon probing the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.”
And so the media was left like a bride waiting at the altar.
